Pantone's Colour of the year for 2017
It's time to talk about the shade chosen as Pantone's colour of the year for 2017. 15-0343 is called 'Greenery' and is a fresh, bright Spring green, with slight tones of yellow. Symbolising the lushness of the great outdoors, Greenery is a refreshing, revitalizing, natural colour. Take a look below for a selection of our fabrics that capture the essence of Greenery. We've also included some colour palettes of pairings from neutrals to brights, and pastels. Pantone's choice for 2017 is bound to inspire!
Layers and layers and layers of tulle! July 2017
The catwalks are alive with a wash of colour in the form of beautiful, semi-sheer tulle dresses, with big, sweeping, romantic skirts and structured bodices. Here's a few of our favourite dresses from recent shows.
We have a fine collection of tulles, from soft to stiff, veiling tulles, transparent illusion tulles and many more. We've got a wide range of colour available, from soft blush pink to cerise pink, and of course all the usual shades you would expect such as black, white and ivory. We have sparkle tulles and foil tulles; we even have formaldehyde free options available. View the collection by clicking here.
Bridal Trends for 2017
3D flowers are still immensely popular this season as well as embellishments in general. Embroidered lace is a definite yes and brides are steering away from plain and understated in favour of more personal, unqiue pieces. Large floral lace designs are also hot news as brides look for something a little more unusual to make their dress stand out.
3D embellishments, large floral lace & embroidered lace - all on trend for S/S 17
Next up is colours - while white and Ivory obviously remain firm favourites, blush pink, soft blues and mint greens are also making waves, as brides continually search for something extra special and eye catching.
Something Blue! And Blush.....and mint!
Finally, brides are turning back the clock and in terms of style, 70s boho chic is huge again, as are 20s style capes. This year's bride is definitely shunning tradtition in favour of a truly unqiue, bespoke gown.
Capes are big news this season....as it's the 70s look, and boho chic.
What's new in bridesmaid for SS17? Well, it's all about tea length tulle dresses, beautiful, bold brights and dress combos designed to help the maid of honour stand out from the crowd (without outdoing the bride, of course!).
Tea length tulle dresses, colourful brights and something different for the maid of honour.

We're always keeping our eye on the latest bridal collections and the latest offerings do not disappoint! As usual, lace features heavily, but we're also seeing 3D flowers fixed to full skirts and flowing lines. We particularly love the Alfred Angelo 'Elsa' Disney princess wedding dress, below. Take a look at some of our favourite gowns from the 2017 season.
L-R: Jenny Packham, Charlie Brear, David Fielden, Disney, Carolina Herrera
Cara Watch - 10.08.16
Is there a model out there who is more in demand that Cara Delevingne at the moment? No, we didn't think so either! All eyes are always on this fashionista, especially as she makes the transition from model to actress and starts appearing on the red carpet for her movie premieres. We absolutely love Cara's style, and what Cara seems to love is lace. Who are we to argue with this fashion queen? Here are some of our favourite Cara looks from recent events and shows.
The Duchess of Cambridge: Her greatest hits - 16.06.16
Since Princess Diana, there hasn't been someone who was capable of setting trends, turning heads and wowing the fashion crowds effortlessly......until Catherine Middleton, that is. Of course, she is now better known as The Duchess of Cambridge, future Queen and mother to third in line to the throne. She champions British Designers and often wears a dress that will then sell out worldwide within 24 hours. Kate is stylish, chic and adventurous with her fashion, but she also knows what suits her and tends to stick with what she knows. What could be more elegant and timeless than lace? This is one fabric that is definitely fit for a (future) queen. Here are our favourite looks.
Our most favourite recent look however, has to be this stunning ensemble which she wore recently for the Queen's 90th birthday celebrations. Ivory and nude colours are definitely on-trend this season, but then Kate doesn't follow the trends - she sets them.

Pantone name their colour of the year for 2016 - 12th April 2016
Pantone have introduced their colour of the year for 2016. In fact, there are two colours - beautiful complimentary shades called Rose Quartz and Serentiy.
This gorgeous blush pink and soft lilac/blue shade are sure to be a huge hit in bridal, bridesmaid, prom and occasionan wear. Here is some more information from Pantone about the shades, including technical details and complimentary shades.
Trend Alert: Rainbow Bridesmaids - 6th April 2016
Long gone are the days when bridemaids were forced into the most unflattering dress style and colour available (one shade does not suit all), in an effort to ensure they didn't outshine the bride. These days, it's all about gorgeous bridemaids dresses that enhance and compliment the bride, creating a stunning bridal party. The latest trend consists of pastels in different shades. The bridemaid colour does not have to be the same colour for all, but a complimetary palette that creates a soft, dreamy, look.
We have to say that this new trend is very easy on the eyes and it gives each bridesmaid the chance to select a colour that really suits them. Again, not sticking to one dress style offers a shape that will suit each bridesmaid. Even though the colours and styles are different, it still works. And it works really well.
Floaty, soft and lightweight fabrics seem to be heavily favoured. There's a lot of versatility to be had when you select fabrics such as chiffons and jersey.
Here are some of our gorgeous chiffons, all available in that sought after perfect pastel palette.

Jenny Packham 2016 Bridal report- 25th February 2016
This brand counts the Duchess of Cambridge, Helen Mirren, Cara Delevigne, Oprah Winfrey, Tayor Swift, Kate Winslet, Adele and many more names as regular clients (The Duchess particularly favours this British brand). We've taken a look at Jenny Packham's bridal collection for 2016 and the first thing you'll see is that it's decidedly vintage. Beautiful, loose, flowing gowns adorned with beads and beautiful neckline detailing make up this feminine, floaty, fairytale collection. Here's a few of our favourite gowns - we particularly loved the mint green number!
Our top picks from London Fashion Week - 23rd February 2016

SS17 Colour Trend predictions - 22nd February 2016
It's a varied palette this season! There are pastel shades, but also earthy tones such as bottle green, orange and charcoal. Apart from the odd splash of yellow, brights aren't set to feature much this season; instead the tones are more muted and soft. Our favourites are the dusky pinks, lilacs and soft blues and greys - stylish, feminine and versatile.
Catwalk Report - 28th January 2016
Hot from the catwalks of Givenchy, Dior, Elie Saab and Armani comes SS16 couture, and we're sensing a theme! Lace, organza and sheer, soft fabrics come together to create feminine lines and a floaty, romantic look. Lace is especially dominant and along with featuring heavily in bridal collections, we can't help but notice that once again - it's bang on trend.
Catwalk Trend Alert SS17 - 20th January 2016
We can't help noticing that ruffles and layers are dominating the Spring/Summer fashion trends. We're not sure if this is the 80s ra-ra skirts trying to make a come back or whether that bohemian, layered look is coming back with a vengeance. One thing we do know is that this look works wonderfully with chiffon, lace, tulles and satins. This leads the way for Gypsy skirts to be reborn this Summer! Stay tuned.
Bridal Trends - 15th January 2016
We adore these bridal gowns from Caroline Herrera. Romantic, flowing lines combine with timelessly elegant lace to create this chic collection. Style 1 reminds us of the Duchess of Cambridge's wedding gown and indicates that lace is going to be the key fabric in bridal this season.
The latest offerings from Charlie Brear also feature lace heavily, but instead of traditional florals this collection uses geometric laces and vineleaf designs. The look is modern and edgy but ultimately it's pretty and feminine. A difficult combo to pull off but Charlie Brear manages it beautifully.
London Fashion Week Report - 25th September 2015
Chiffon is on trend right now - whether it's printed or plain, the look is romantic with soft pastel hues and flowing lines. Almost every collection featured chiffon in some way.
Another trend to feature heavily during London Fashion week is the colour white. Tailored, with clean cut lines, this look is minimalist, modern and bang on trend.
The Fashion world's love affair with lace never really dies, and it look as though lace is ready for another surge in popularity, thanks to London Fashion Week, Milan Fashion week and the hot new trend of Victoriana Lace.
Spring/Summer 16 colour report - 11th September 2015
Purple, Mauve, lilac, lavender...whatever variation you want to call it, this colour is big news for SS16 which is good news as this is a shade that generally suits all skin tones and colouring.
Along with the purples and lilacs, we're seeing a host of complimentary colours such as dusky, vintage pinks and powder blue. We can also see some nude and natural colours, meaning that SS16 will easily co-ordinating and featuring pretty, feminine sorbet, fresh shades.
It's not all pastels though! Bright pinks and yellows team with fresh greens and the colour tipped to be the hottest shade this coming season - red.
